The recent social media outburst on “Girls and boys locker room” and the constant blame game attacking each other genders without understanding the difference between right and wrong or evaluating the situations has become quite toxic.
While some people actually come out and support each other, others keep on baselessly spread hate and negativity.
There was a lot of blaming happening where girls and boys abused, judged and body-shamed each other. There is no denying the fact that such groups really exist where people objectify others irrespective of their gender.
But who is responsible for this? Is this how we’re supposed to live together? Aren’t we humans first? Amidst all these blaming, people have stopped being humans first or having mere respect for each other.
If everyone started working on themselves as a human being, then perhaps rapes, body shaming, slut-shaming, name-calling and a whole other means of judgements would not have happened.
Try to be a better human and educate yourself as well as others. Try to understand the other person by looking at the problem through their eyes. Try to empathise and listen to what the other person has to say instead of only countering. Try to make this world a better place for not men or women but for everyone.
I try to be a better human by reflecting on my actions, accepting them and having respect for others. I accept my mistakes and work hard on not repeating them again.
How do you strive to be a better human and make this world a better place to live in?
