What will you choose to become in this lockdown: Corona Warrior or Worrier?
Due to corona virus pandemic while we are practicing social distancing on the other hand our country’s economy becomes the concern for many economists of our country. These days we see in newspapers’ headlines : they are like “The Indian economy is expected to lose over ₹32,000 crore (US$4.5 billion) every day during the first 21-days of complete lockdown which was declared following the corona virus outbreak”. All the intellectuals are alarming India to face the disruptive economic impact.
Apart from this at many places community kitchen is working to feed the needy, some are supporting by giving donations to NGO(s) or in PM CARES fund, overall, everyone is in this effort that somehow we overcome from this deadly virus attack.
As we are approaching 3rd May, question itself arises in our mind what will be done, lockdown be extended or not. Answer of this question will differ from person to person.
Nature is Healing!
I think we should see this lockdown as an opportunity because just 3 to 4 weeks of human inactivity looking beneficial for planet’s other inhabitants. What many environmentalists wanted to be done, now these things are being done my corona virus. On internet many pictures of nature are viral with a caption NATURE IS HEALING. Rivers like ganga and Yamuna reported dramatic improvements in their purity. Everyone is aware of air pollution in India’s capital and now its harmful air pollutant in the PM 2.5 category plunged by 71% in the very first week of lockdown. Not only this but also there is 6 % drop in global emissions due to low demand of coal and oil.
But till when this lockdown will continue? I think we should stay at home till the virus completely eradicated from the country. On one hand lockdown seems a possibility, on the other hand it seems a challenge. Due to this lockdown many people lost their job, they have to sleep hungry. Now the situation is changing government has announced many relief packages for these people.
When we have two options and if one has positive impact and other has negative impact then we should go for positive one. This lockdown is more than a possibility. We see that in this lockdown only essential work are being done it means all the other things which we wanted to be done are somehow less important. Works road accidents and all the criminal activity are really not important so lockdown affected these industries in a very bad way.
So we can make this lockdown a possibility in many ways some are by turning inward, working on our loop holes , we can volunteer any NGO. As it is a saying of Jaggi Vasudev, generally referred to as Sadhguru, is an Indian yogi and author “Become 10% Better Than Before Every Week”.
